Will reinstalling windows XP fix registry errors or will they persist through this process? If you are asking this then I imagine you are facing a computer riddled with errors and slow to the point of unusable and you are frustrated enough to consider scrapping the whole thing as the ‘win rot’ sets in. YES - If you wipe your hard drive and completely reinstall windows XP on your machine you will fix all registry errors because you will be starting with a fresh install with NO programs, NO data and NO problems.
